Developer (2 positions)
Overview
We are looking for developers with a passion for building best-of-breed web applications. The ideal team member will be an accomplished programmer, up-to-date with the latest best-practices, tools and technologies for designing and coding robust web apps. Core technologies you'll be working with include Ruby, Rails, Javascript, node.js, relational and NoSQL databases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or relevant field
- Real world experience developing commercial web sites and applications
- Excellent general programming and problem solving skills, and commitment to best practices
- Comfortable programming within MVC pattern
- Solid knowledge of HTML and CSS, as well as Javascript and leading Javascript libraries
- Experience working with Ruby / Ruby on Rails / node.js and NoSQL data stores (MongoDB / CouchDB / Redis) an advantage
- Good written and spoken English
System Administrator
Overview
We are in the process of building a highly distributed system and are looking for systems administrators who are experienced in automated deployment and management of remote systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Expert-level knowledge of managing Linux/OS X systems
- Experience with one or more automated configuration management/deployment solutions (Puppet/Chef/etc)
- Strong programming/scripting skills
- Good written and spoken English
Junior Programmers
Overview
We're looking for programmers who are interested in building web applications. As a junior programmer you'll be learning to improve your skills by working with our team on challenging and interesting projects. You'll be exposed to a range of modern technologies and techniques to build quality software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computing / IT field
- Graduates welcome
- Some experience developing web sites and web applications
- Familiarity with html, css, javascript and at least one server side language
- Reasonable written and spoken English
